A key new addition to iMessage is the ability to play games against your friends. This is a pretty similar idea and set out to the Facebook Messenger games. To install different mini games to play on iMessage you have to click on the small app store icon which is highlighted blue below…
The main idea of this feature is to make it easier for you to play games with friends. When you open a game it will prompt you to invite the person you were talking to on iMessage. There are some great games available as well with titles such as Words with Friends, Trivia crack and Game Pigeon which includes a few mini games such as 8 ball pool, Poker, and Sea Battles.
#Stickers/Animations on iMessage!
There are also loads of new stickers available with the new iOS and App store. It was obvious when this feature was released that it would catch on and it more than definitely has with companies such as Disney and Nintendo (Super Mario) deciding to jump onthe bandwagon. As well as them there are your usual slices of pizza and cuddly looking cats been sent every day.
GIFs have also made their debut on iMessage. If you don’t know what they are a GIF is a very short clip or animation which is usually limited to 500 frames. Again you’ll have to download an app to access the GIFs however there is an unbelievable amount to annoy your friends with!

#Link previews in Messages-
If you want to show your friend/loved one a video the new update has made it much easier. Now when you receive a video link you don’t have to exit the iMessage app to watch it; instead, the video just plays in the conversation so you can type another message whilst watching it. Also, thumbnails to any link will (almost) instantly accompany the link which might help you make a decision on whether or not to read the article, watch the video etc. However, if you want to open the link in Safari simply click on the actual link (the writing not the picture) and it will take you there.
#Handwritten messages/drawings-
You can now attempt to handwrite your messages, although you don’t particularly have to write anything it could be a drawing! You start out with a blank canvas and it is up to you what you want to write and/or draw. Instead of writing, I love you might it be easier to simply draw a Love Heart? Your recent creations will be saved as little flash cards below your canvas so if you want to use a masterpiece that you’ve drawn in the past that is possible. I suppose it’s quicker than trying to successfully write something with your finger all the time; at least this way you can have one good attempt and that’s all that is needed.
